I am a mother of four adult children and grandmother to five granddaughters. I picked up my first SLR camera when my son was born in 1980, and have never put it down. I am also a retired high school photography teacher who just doesn't want to stop taking pictures of children and families. I started my career teaching elementary school, but the last seventeen years were spent teaching electives in high school. Having raised four children, I look back and wonder where the time went. I took all my own photographs, and when I look at the quality of photograph, I realize I've come a long way as a photographer. I also realize that my photos were really lacking the POP and the WOW factor! It makes me sad because of all those images, I really don't have that I would consider "frame.-able" for my living room wall. That is why I am here for YOU! Life happens quickly. Why am I passionate about taking portraits? I realized I didn't have any images of myself with my mom or dad and now they are gone. Oh, how I wish I had taken the time to have someone document individual images of my parents and me. And I only have one image of my whole family taken when I was ten years old.
